Near Mannar Island, the party dived to see the pearl oyster beds. They saw the giant clam with a huge pearl. Captain Nemo showed them the difficult life of pearl divers.

The Ruins
They saw the ruins of an ancient city. Captain Nemo wrote "ATLANTIS" on a rock. Aronnax was speechless. This was the culmination of their underwater exploration.

A giant squid jammed the propeller. The crew had to fight the monster on the platform. A sailor was killed.
The Fight
